Hello, my name is Austenn Akers

A para-church organization that began out of the pool house in my parents’ backyard in 2012 and became a staple community for Orange County until 2021, unifying the body of Christ and raising up leaders to further the Kingdom of God through our weekly worship night gatherings.

This is a collection of poems written about an old rabbi named Jesus. One / Won is a collaborative effort with Briley Moreno who made the drawings and Thomas Kovacik who designed the zine.

The ministry began in 2011 and I began attending as a high schooler shortly after. In 2016 I began serving as a high school leader and as of May 2018 I have been pastoring the ministry. I seek to raise up disciples who make disciples.

Launching out of Branches HB in early 2021, I have been leading this ministry amongst my friends. We seek to use this ministry as a bridge from high school youth group to the church at large by getting the young adults connected to the church in various ways so that by the time they age out they are fully immersed in the community.

I have constructed various workshops to equip the Church. I use the knowledge I have received over the last 11 years of following Jesus along with in-depth research on each topic to give the best instruction I can on each given topic.

I write spoken word as a way to share dense theological concepts in a way that is both accessible and engaging. I desire to bring the Gospel to ears that would typically reject it in a church context, showing them just how beautiful Jesus is.
